Well, no reason not to do something you thought of anyway, even if somebody else beat you to it. There's nothing truly new under the sun. Chances are, yours will be turn out different to theirs anyway.
I made two stories, and a "friend" of mine blasted me with things that she said I copied, which I didn't. This led me to take both down... But now I have a new one! ...Also, I want to work with animations, 3D designs and all that videogame crap(JK) that makes me rage when I notice 11-year-olded kids already know how to do! >_< I'm so limited, the only thing is that I got 4th place on national at a math thingie XD I also want to learn how to play goddamn instruments that half of my school knows how to play and also want to join the science fair with my brain-nerves thing! But I think I'll do something else~
Back to the story: One day, my sister had the book-switch day, which you take a book and then bring another one home. My sister took a GOOD book that we has and then she came back with the only thing they left... A crappy comic! They said they would do it again but they never did. Then to cheer her up I made this story:
"MUUMMMM!!1!!1!!!111!!!1 THEY GAVE ME A CRAP!111!!!!!!1!" "What crap? It's The Kingdom of Kinkam!" *reads book*It says "gotcha" on the first page and has a on its second page.
So, she laughed. Past three months, we went to beach with our cousin. Since it was raining, we decided to build a sand kingdom instead. We did it all, it came out pretty awesome! Then we were going to name it... Then "The Kingdom of Kinkam" came to me. We discussed about it for the rest of the day(My cousin says I'm good with stories).
FIRST STORY(Prototype): There was this one unnamed guy. He lived on a small hill, a bit apart from the Lower Village. He came to the village, and he needed to defeat a lot of monsters that invaded. As a prize, a grateful elder gives you the Earth Crystal, which leads you to the Stone Castle. You then meet the Stone Princess, who is imprisioned in the Castle. She tells you that this and other crystals have been cursed, and that she can take off the evil spirits. She says that the first spirint belongs to her mother, who became crazy when found out about the magic of the Stone Crystal and that it was so close. Then you need to defeat the boss of the Earth Temple, who is a big stone-ish gorilla thingie. Then you go after the other crystals(...)
I updated the story, now the elder says that the leader of the monster swarm had theStone Key. You use it to unlock the gate of the Stone Castle, now the story makes more sense. I hope no one steals it
